Kybella® injection is the first and only FDA-approved nonsurgical treatment that contours and improves the appearance of submental fullness, sometimes referred to as "double chin".  The active ingredient in Kybella® is deoxycholic acid, a naturally-occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat.  When injected into the fat beneath your chin, Kybella® causes the destruction of fat cells. Once destroyed, those cells cannot store or accumulate fat.

Are you a candidate?

If you don’t want surgery and you’re unhappy, self-conscious, or embarrassed by fat under the chin or feel the condition makes you look older or heavier than you actually are, then KYBELLA® is a proven in office injectable treatment that destroys fat cells under the chin to improve your profile.

How is this treatment performed?

Dr. Gumucio will examine the area under and around your chin and then tailor the treatment to the amount of fat and your aesthetic goals.

At each treatment, you will receive multiple small injections under your chin, and the injection process takes about 15 to 20 minutes. The exact number of injections will depend on the amount of fat you have under your chin and your desired profile.  More than one session is usually needed for optimal results.

“I inherited my double chin from my family. I was so frustrated because it felt out of my control.”

“I used to be a little heavier and my double chin was really obvious. But even after I lost the weight, it was still there.”
Adra, 36

“I’m used to getting aesthetic treatments, but I’m not willing to go under the knife. So KYBELLA® was the right choice for me.”
Nikki, 35

“The fact that KYBELLA® is an injectable treatment was a big plus, and I liked that treatment was tailored to me by my doctor.”
David, 54*

After being treated with KYBELLA®, patients reported improvements in self-perception, including feeling happier and looking younger based on their chin profile.
